Fancy a bit of visual escape without leaving the Eastern Suburbs Jane Canfield is showcasing her latest work, the 'Elemental Exhibition', at Art2Muse Gallery. Jane's the kind of artist who packs up her paints and heads out to the Central West of New South Wales, capturing bits of the landscape en plein air before heading back to the studio to conjure up her larger oil paintings. Sounds like a decent setup, really.

She's got a bit of a knack for distilling those vast landscapes down to their essentials, letting colour do the heavy lifting rather than getting bogged down in tiny details. If you like your landscapes with a healthy dose of impression and less of the photographic, you might just find your cup of tea here. She's not new to this rodeo either, having racked up more than a dozen solo shows. The best bit It won't cost you a thing to pop in. It's all happening from Tuesday 29 July 2025 through to Monday 11 August 2025, open from 9 AM to 4 PM each day, at Art2Muse Gallery in Woollahra.
