Ever wondered what goes on inside an artist's brain, or at least their studio? Well, here's a chance to poke your nose in. Barrett House Studios is having an open house where you can have a natter with the resident creatives. You might hear about their current obsessions, get a sneak peek at works-in-progress (expect a bit of organised chaos, perhaps), and even fire off those burning questions you've always wanted to ask someone who makes art for a living.

Nestled quietly in Randwick, Barrett House has quite the history. It was once the digs of silent film trailblazers Franklyn and Mabel Barrett, so you could say the place is steeped in creative vibes. These days, it's a temporary home for all sorts of artistic adventures, from visual arts to performance, writing, and music. It's a free event, just so you know, but you'll need to book your spot via Humanitix. You'll find them at 6 Barrett Pl, Randwick, on Sunday 13 July 2025, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
