Join us for the official opening of two new community exhibitions at Town Hall Gallery, ‘A Sense of Place’ by Caroline Calway and ‘From Nature’.

Entry is free, but bookings are essential.

A Sense of Place
Encapsulating the vastness of the land alongside the small and beautiful details within it, ‘A Sense of Place’ by Caroline Calway is a community exhibition bearing witness to Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge) within the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Moments of realism and abstraction lend to the overall impression of the scenes depicted across her vibrant and reverent pieces. Caroline Calway is the winner of the 2022 Boroondara Arts Encouragement Award, awarded annually to a local exhibitor in the Camberwell Art Show and recognising excellence in contemporary visual art.

From Nature
'From Nature' is a community exhibition examining the world around us through materiality and process. Each artist borrows from the natural environment to create their work, either from organic materials collected locally or by allowing their work to be influenced by natural forces.

Shifting between abstract and figurative imagery, Michael Adeney and Ravit Tidhar's creative practice reflects an appreciation of our natural world and its power.

When: 10 June 2023 (Sat), 2pm to 4pm
Where: Town Hall Gallery, 360 Burwood Road Hawthorn VIC 3122 Australia
