Ready to dip your toes into the world of filmmaking? Join us for a fun-filled, four-hour workshop where you can navigate through the art of making movies, whether you're a fresh-faced novice or someone who's dabbled a bit but doesn't consider themselves the next Scorsese—yet. Trust us, no prior experience is required, but come prepared for some light-hearted learning and a fair bit of creativity.

We'll kick things off with pre-production basics, so you can get those brilliant ideas out of your head and onto a storyboard. You'll learn about crew roles as well, which is basically just a fancy way of saying that someone will have to hold the boom mic without falling over. From there, we'll move on to the production phase, where you'll get hands-on with cameras, lighting, and sound recording—imagine yourself as a Hollywood director, minus the caffeine addiction. Lastly, we'll wrap it up with post-production, giving you a taste of editing software and colour correction, because every film needs a splash of pizzazz, right?

For just 30 bucks, you can unleash your inner filmmaker on Saturday, 12 October 2024, from 10 AM to 2:30 PM at the lovely Woollahra Library in Double Bay. Don't forget to bring your best ideas and maybe a snack or two for inspiration.
