Kids in school years 3 to 6 can let off some holiday steam at Hammer Mayhem, a string art session where they safely hammer nails into wooden boards and weave colourful yarn around them to make their own quirky designs. Its a fun way to sneak in some coordination and confidence building while keeping those little hands busy with something creative rather than chaotic.

The free event runs Thursday 9 April 2026 from 10 am to 11 am at Malabar Community Library, 1203 Anzac Parade, Matraville. Bookings are essential online, so grab a spot before they vanish.
