During NAIDOC Week, there's a chance to get creative and learn a thing or two. Aunty Maxine, who's a much loved Aboriginal elder and artist from La Perouse, will be sharing her awesome shellwork art skills. She's passionate about sharing Aboriginal arts and crafts, so you'll be learning from the best and might even surprise yourself with your own handiwork.

This session is open to everyone, whether you're a little tacker from kindergarten or a fully grown adult looking for a new hobby. And here's the kicker: it's absolutely free, so your wallet can breathe a sigh of relief. Just make sure you jump online to snag a spot, as we reckon they'll disappear faster than a Tim Tam in a cuppa. The session runs from 2:00pm to 3:30pm on Monday 14 July 2025, over at the Lionel Bowen Library in Maroubra.
