Ever dreamt of getting your hands properly dirty while staring at the ocean. Well, now is your chance. National Tree Day is rolling into Christison Park, Vaucluse, on Sunday, 27 July 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. You are invited to help plant some lovely local native species, do a little something for the environment, and perhaps even reconnect with your inner tree hugger. This whole green thumb gathering is family friendly, so feel free to bring the crew along for some fresh air and good deeds.

No need to raid your shed for tools or don your fanciest gardening gloves; Woollahra Council will supply all the plants, gloves, and digging implements you could possibly need. Once your planting prowess has been adequately demonstrated, there will be a well earned snack on offer. The kids, meanwhile, can dive into an interactive native wildlife program, because why stop at just planting when there are critters to learn about. It is all completely free, but you will need to sign up on Eventbrite beforehand. Just rock up to Christison Park and look for the friendly faces near the coastal walkway in the south eastern corner of the reserve.
