Teens from 13 to 18 can tinker with robotics in this holiday workshop, coding everyday objects to dodge obstacles, sense light or touch, and scoot around without turning into a pile of scrap.

Grab VEX IQ kits to hook up motors and sensors to cardboard contraptions, program a vehicle that actually avoids edges and walls, and mess about with gears, linkages, and mechanisms that give you that mechanical edge, like why simple twists make big differences. No experience required, just a relaxed vibe to kick off robotics and interactive design. Its free, but registration is essential since spaces fill up quick. Happening Tuesday 7 April 2026 from 10am to midday at Woollahra Library, level 1, 451 New South Head Road, Double Bay.
