Is your wardrobe starting to resemble a textile graveyard, full of forlorn jumpers and holey socks just waiting for a miraculous resurrection. Or perhaps you have a growing stack of household items that have seen better days and are currently on life support. If so, gather your sartorial casualties and domestic invalids for the Textiles Mending Group on Saturday 12 July 2025. It is a chance to finally tackle that mountain of mending that has been silently judging you from the corner of the room.

Join a friendly bunch at the Randwick Sustainability Hub from 10 am to 12 pm. You do not need to be a sewing whiz, just someone with a bit of fabric courage and a desire to keep good stuff out of landfill. Think of it as a rescue mission for your beloved but slightly broken bits and bobs. It is a free event, with booking available via Humanitix. Come along, share some laughs, and maybe even learn a stitch or two while giving your treasures a well deserved second act.
