Tracey Lee Holmes and Stan Grant settle into a conversation about a life that keeps straddling the boundary between the sports desk and the larger world. After more than forty years in sports journalism Holmes has a knack for spotting the moments when a game stops being just a game, and her memoir The Eye of the Dragonfly collects those odd, revealing and occasionally awkward stories. Talking with her husband, fellow broadcaster and author Stan Grant, Holmes talks through the career highlights and the detours: breaking barriers, the untold stories that didn't make the highlights reel, and what it's like to move across continents, cultures and identity while reporting on the world.
