In an hour flat, kids aged 11 to 14 can transform scruffy wool fibres into funky, textured coasters just by rubbing, heating and squishing them together, skipping the whole weaving hassle. Its a sneaky peek into the odd science of felting too, with plenty of messing about with colours and patterns to make something uniquely yours to lug home.
The workshops free, but snag a spot online since they go quick. Its on Tuesday 14 April 2026 from 10.30am to 11.30am at Margaret Martin Library on Level 1, Royal Randwick Shopping Centre, Belmore Road, Randwick.
