Tired of fumbling around in the dark, or just sick of the same old boring lamps? Here's a chance to design your very own compact light source that screams 'you'. This workshop is all about getting hands-on, using some clever cutting and folding techniques to bring your luminous masterpiece to life. You won't need a toolkit or a university degree in lighting design; we're supplying all the bits and pieces you'll need to craft your unique creation.

This shindig is completely free, which is pretty good news for your wallet, and it's specifically for anyone between 12 and 18 years old. Sorry, grown ups, this one's strictly for the youth squad. If you're keen to light up your life (or at least your desk), you'll need to jump online and book a spot, as they're essential. We'll be setting up shop at Lionel Bowen Library, 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra, on Monday 14 July 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Come along and get crafty.
