Maroubra Beach Markets rolls around on the first Saturday of each month, and July's edition lands on the 4th from 8am to 2pm. It is held at Broadarrow Reserve on Fitzgerald Avenue in Maroubra, which is a nice spot if you can find a park within walking distance. Entry costs nothing, so you can wander in without any pesky guilt about spending money on something you only just discovered you needed.

There are over a hundred stalls offering the usual suspects like fresh produce, artisan food bits, fashion, homewares, crafts, plants, flowers, and art. You can grab something hot to eat from the vendors and sit in the designated dining area, possibly while listening to live music or watching some entertainment. There are also hands on workshops, presumably for those who want to leave with more than just a sunburn and a bag of apricots. Bring your own reusable bags and a bit of patience.
