A slow, meandering stroll for women whose lives have been tangled up with cancer in one way or another whether you are a survivor, still in the thick of treatment, or have been walking the whole thing beside someone you love. This is emphatically not a fitness walk. There will be no timing chips, no personal bests, no one shouting encouragement through a walkie talkie. It is a chance to put one foot in front of the other at a pace that would frustrate a toddler and to breathe, stare at a leaf for too long, or simply sit on a patch of grass and do nothing. The forest will not judge you. The birds do not care about your step count. Just bring yourself and permission to be a bit still.
It is free, because some things should not cost money, and it takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Meet near the Homestead Takeaway Cafe at the outdoor picnic tables on the grass, corner of Parkes Drive and Banksia Way in Centennial Park, NSW 2021. That is in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, or close enough that you can drive there without needing to pack snacks. Unless you want to. No one is stopping you.
