Paddington Library's After Hours Film Club is screening contemporary French urban cinema. The feature is The Story of Souleymane (2024), a French drama that looks at life on the margins, accompanied by the short film Bonobo (2018), which offers a different, sharper view of city life. Expect streets that feel like characters, awkwardly poetic moments and people doing their best in imperfect places.

Light refreshments will be available before the screening and there will be a discussion after the screening led by Erin, the library's resident film nerd. The event is free and you can register on Eventbrite if you want to save a spot.
