We're marking the opening of the new native garden at the library with a relaxed chat from Peter Cooley, founder of IndigiGrow Nursery, about gardening with local Indigenous plants and how they can support cultural heritage and local wildlife. Expect down-to-earth tips, a few plant stories, and the sort of practical wisdom you can actually use in a small suburban patch.

Planting local natives in your backyard does more than look nice; it helps stitch together parklands and bushcare sites as part of efforts to ecologically restore and rewild the critically endangered Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub (ESBS). The event is free and you can register on Eventbrite if you prefer to book ahead.
