If youre wandering around the Eastern Suburbs and fancy a peek at some art that mixes ancient vibes with everyday Aussie suburbia, the Art2Muse exhibition by Lauren Wilhelm titled Sprezzatura might catch your eye. Shes got over 22 solo shows under her belt, with pieces tucked away in private collections across Australia and even popping up in galleries in Italy, Spain, and New York. Wilhelm gets a kick out of digging into the forgotten stories of ordinary folks from the past, often slapping classical imagery next to things like rusty Hills hoists or quiet cul-de-sacs, which makes you wonder if Julius Caesar ever dreamed of a vegemite sandwich.

Her studios tucked down in the Margaret River area of Western Australia, so shes probably got a good dose of coastal inspiration in her paints. Its free to wander in, no strings attached. The whole things running from 9am on Tuesday 21 October 2025 until 4pm on Monday 3 November 2025, at Art2Muse Gallery on 234 Jersey Road in Woollahra.
