If youre in the Eastern Suburbs or can hop in the car without too much hassle, theres this chat called happening at Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from 6pm to 7.30pm. Its at 548 New South Head Road in Double Bay, postcode 2028, and its free, though youll need to sign up on Eventbrite to snag a spot. Benjamin Clay and Danielle Robson from UAP Urban Art Projects will be there talking about turning those tiny studio sculptures into big public beasts, the sort that make you stop and stare on your way to the shops.

The night kicks off with a wander around the gallery courtesy of director Sep Pourbozorgi, then Benjamin chats with Ellinor about the nitty gritty of public art, like the headaches of scaling up without everything toppling over and the fun bits where creativity runs wild in the open air. Oh, and theyll hand out a handy A3 fold-out thing you can stuff in your bag, full of tips on dipping your toes into public art commissions without getting lost in the bureaucracy.
