Ever wondered how Sydney Harbour went from a hive of sweaty wharves and colonial grunt work to those glossy beaches and posh private foreshores we paddle around today. Clio Davidson-Lynch and Jane Britten from the Woollahra Libraries Local History team will unpack that shift, with labour, landscape and culture pulling the strings on its ever changing story.

They will sift through old photos, maps and maritime yarns in this illustrated talk, showing how we have fiddled with the harbour and how it has fiddled right back with us. Bring your questions or personal tales to chuck in, everyone gets a go. It is free, but bookings are a must.
