Grab your scissors and give some retired library picture books a quirky second chance at life by chopping them up into a 2026 hanging calendar. Kids in years three to six can sift through the colourful illustrations, pick their top picks, and collage a page for every month, whether thats a wild animal march, festive scenes, or sneaky family birthday spots.

Youll need decent cutting chops for this one, and its a good idea to bring along photos of relatives to snip and stick onto their big day. Its free, but book online to snag a spot. Happening Wednesday 7 January 2026 from 3 pm to 4 pm at Malabar Community Library on 1203 Anzac Parade in Matraville.
