Think of this as a slow-burn portrait project over three Saturdays with Kyra Henley at Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf in Double Bay. You'll kick off by making collaged studies from found images, memory fragments and personal bits of reference, then work out how to move those ideas onto canvas—either by plotting them with a grid or by following a more instinctive route. The last session is all about nudging the painting towards a satisfying finish, with time for experimenting, editing and a bit of honest reflection.

It's less about producing a perfect likeness and more about playing with identity, imagination and glue. Expect some practical problem solving, occasional surprises, and a chance to see how a handful of torn images and a few brushstrokes can add up to something that feels like you, or your brilliant alternate self.
