Don't let the threat of dodgy scammers ruin your joy of online cat videos or arguing with strangers about the best way to cook a steak. This session is for anyone who has ever hovered over a suspicious email or received a call from someone who definitely isn't from the bank. We'll look at simple ways to keep your personal details secure without needing a degree in computer wizardry. You might even pick up a tip or two for spotting a fraudulent call or a text that sounds too good to be true.

The event is free, but you'll need to book online because they need to know how many biscuits to put out. It runs on Monday 6 July 2026 from 2pm to 3pm at Lionel Bowen Library, 669-673 Anzac Parade, Maroubra. No need to stress about the online world when you can learn to sidestep the tricksters with a bit of common sense and a laugh.
