Shireen Taweel and Zo Veness sit down with curator Catherine Woolley for a relaxed conversation about how the act of making changes the way you notice and inhabit a place. They'll talk about pilgrimage, return and the little ritual of repeated journeys that crop up in their practice, and may offer the kind of modest revelations that explain why certain places pull an artist back.

The discussion peels back the slow, considered processes behind their work, from engraving and piercing copper by hand through laminating, patinating and enamelling metal. Drawing on embodied and inherited knowledge, both artists explore how materials can hold memory, mark movement and speak to the layered histories of place. Free event.
