If youre curious about how clay meets culture in modern art, the Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize has a couple of artist chats lined up that might just scratch that itch. Ceramicist Sassy Park, whose name alone suggests a bit of cheeky flair, and multidisciplinary artist Ruth Ju-Shih Li will each spend 30 minutes with Curatorial and Programs Assistant Maya Martin-Westheimer, unpacking their finalist pieces, the ideas behind them, and the quirky stories that inspired it all. Expect some insights into their creative habits and what influences sneak into their work, followed by a chance for you to fire off questions.
